I wouldnt go as far as to say that is has not talent or soul. Can you rap? Can you write rap songs/poems? While people like Lil' Wayne are not rappers, people seem to see them as such. I am by no means defending it, I hate rap, but you can't just say it takes not talent cuz I respect people like Eminen who are lyrically very good

You could spot a Hollies song back in the day without the DJ telling you.... no one could hit those 4-part harmonies with such accuracy and pitch like these guys. They could even do it live.

hiya kidder- i was born 4 miles from paul mc cartney in 1954- fancy growing up on merseyside at that time-I could tell you a few tales believe me-at the time I didnt appreciate it- poor- no money all that shite but I know I was luckybecause of my love for the music of the times-right through to the eighties flippin eck wacker I can appreciate real music- right, now back to me jack daniels and ice!!!

I'm in my early 50's and thus too young to be part of this magical time in music, but no matter what i listen to (and I'm very open to all kinds of music) I keep coming to the 60's.
Like I say to many people, I'm too young to be a hippie (though this is pre-hippie) I love the ERA.
How do you think New Wave changed things?
