Quite a few buildings are still there.
Particularly the ones in the city centre. Ranleigh street is the same.
Vernon's is still standing and was supposed to be turned into Apartments But I don't think it happened.
Doubt they will knock It down as it's listed I think.
Great pictures of my city.

Lovely little video, nice selection of photos, one thing I notice most in the street scenes is how clean everywhere looks, do any of the buildings shown hear still survive ? (particularly the VERNONS pools building)

Nice to see my old school still with intact hall on 01:42 to the left the Liverpool Collegiate. The building that looks like a castle down the bottom of the streeet. 1979 I was there.

thanks for posting,l now live in spain, and miss my home city and most of all the people. never met anybody like them any where in all my travels.i grew up in everton ,went to rosscommon st, school never missed a day loved it so much,happy times indeed, best regards john

I was born in liverpool in a terrace house in 1958 emigrated in 1964 so I can actually put myself in most of these pictures. And I can actually see where mum and dad grew up! Thankyou so much.

Thankyou so much for putting this together, It's funny how when I look at these pictures that the first thought in my head is "yep, that's right, that matches the picture in my head" almost like recharging your own memory. Whatever it is, it feels great to look at them. There is something really special about Liverpool that even outsiders recognise. Thankyou again.
