  • elizabethtown brother

  • I first heard this in my cousin's car back in about '67, and i was only about 3 or 4 y/o. I rememeber how she was bragging on about her 8-track.

The song stuck with me for years, but i never heard it on an oldies station. for some odd reason, i thought the first line was "preachers in France are about to receive...". weird how you can't remember american history, but stuff like this stays with you forever.

  • one of the stupidest songs ever recorded.

  • I've loved this song since I 1st heard it as a 10 yr old snotty brat in '67; I'm very surprised it hasn't been used to accompany a 60's muscular gay porn 8mm flick-or any 60's porn 8mm flick for that matter! ;-)

  • The intro did sound like the wacky David Lynch of 'Twin Peaks'/ 'Blue Velvet' fame.

  • Still totally awesome! Thanks for the info psychedelicsam1.
