@McQuarkland So the whole point of Hook's character is that he's afraid to die? Pretty generic. I don't think the crocodile is a metaphor for something, but if it was, wouldn't it be more like the crocodile making Hook act like a frigthened child, the very thing he hates?
But I'll agree with you on one point: the octopus thing is really stupid. I don't like the Peter Pan movies, but the relationship between Hook and the croc was very nicely done (despite the slapstick being way too ridiculous).
