Smokey Robinson has been awarded the National Medal of Arts and has been called by some the "Poet Laureate of America". Celebrating now more than 50 years of Motown, it is safe to say that without Smokey Robinson, Motown as we know it would not have existed. These are The Miracles singing their great hit from April of 1965, "Ooh Baby Baby".

  • Gayle, i love this song ! haven't heard it for a long time, thanks for sending it to me, Gary x

  • Smokey & The Miracles..' Smooth like Butter...'!

  • You say Justin Beiber, I say Smokey Robinson and the Miracles!!!!

  • It seems that THE MIRACLES' songs have been consistant targets of these "American Idol" wannabes , It seems that every year, someone on American Idol, or some other new artist re- records Miracles' songs. And they NEVER do them as good . Then some young person , that has never heard of the Miracles comes onto YouTube , and says that the lame re-make is better. If it's not Adam Lambert, it's Justin Bieber. If it's not Haley Reinhart, it's Paul McDonald,Anoop Desai,Jessica Sierra, you name it.

  • @janicerosen THAT should have been said at FUNK BROTHERS tribute, which , unfortunately, never happened. It should have . But DON'T take credit from MOTOWN'S FIRST GROUP. Too many people have done so in recent years...giving credit to Smokey solo (instead of the entire group) THE SUPREMES, TEMPTATIONS, and EVERYBODY ELSE....EXCEPT THE ONE GROUP THAT PUT MOTOWN ON THE MAP !!!

  • @williamg2552 What Berry Gordy should have said and never did was "Without THE FUNK BROTHERS, Motown, as we know it would never have exhisted". The Motown house band, Detroit years, played on every Motown song we ever heard. They ARE the Motown sound; unsung heroes.

  • this is my all time favorite Smokey song. long live The Funk Brothers.

  • It's a shame what low understandings people have. They're so quick to jump into conversations, even if they have no idea what's going on. When I asked if Justin Bieber covered this song, I was replying to a comment. I wasn't trying to find out for myself.

  • @zacxhughes fuck justin bieber

  • pure silk. a voice like nectar from the gods. i love listening this living poet. thanks so much for posting
