The Bible allows slavery and multiple wives. It demands that fornicators be stoned to death. You *do not* get your morals from the Bible. You get them from the same place the rest of us do, the society we live in, which is the same place the Bible got *it's* morals.

@yoyo4085 in the first place. And that punishment is bloody (since it a slight against an omnipotent being) and reserved for complete enemies of God that cant be harvested. God is good in loving even his enemies to bring them to him he is just in punishing all that is contrary to nature and that have the utter will not to follow God (their purpose). @yoyo4085 He patiently waits at the door seeking that people desire him above all else and is good to those who hate him. He seeks not to destroy them but to change their hearts to love him. No matter how deep rooted their hatred is God loves his enemies(most of humanity) he doesnt destroy until their is a total and willful rejection. He even created us and promises goodness and completness in him. but if we turn it all down. He would have to punish us because the purpose of us was to glorify

@yoyo4085 Shouldnt he discard those that malfunction just like we discard our trash. He created so he can destroy we didnt create so we cant destroy. Canan sinned against God and God ordered them wiped out. The children that died would have gone to heaven with God instead of having grown up in a sinful culture to become like an adult that God would have to damn. The justice of God is pure. But God is good cause he depite all his power loves us and wants us to come to him on our own.

@yoyo4085 Meaning that everything that doesnt glorify or make God great in this reality whether it be the pope or preacher, or the act of lieing (which hurts those created to glorify God) all this are in rebellion from their true function. This is sin. Deviating from ones purpose for exsistence. And humans are capable of doing this because they have a free will and have fallen. God is just because he created the justice. Because he penalizes based on this criteria. Doesnt he have a patent for us

@yoyo4085 worship and obedience. Sin would be a very normal thing and we wont see sin as sin. Everyone has a God whether it be idols, Money, nation, ideology, hitler, fame, power, or Jesus. Which one should be followed? or U exsist for what? Other sources claim many things but the bible claims that we exsist solely to glorfiy God. Now this might seem unswallowable to you but bear with me. So the bible puts our purpose and exsistence along with everyhting else is linked to worshipping God.

@yoyo4085 earthly morality and Gods morality are two different things. Gods morality firstly exsists in everyone. It is our consicence, the thing that tells us what is right or wrong and the bible says all have it and that it testifies the creators greatness.That is why human beings have always been spirtual in a sense. But we because of our earthly desires, culture, and Gods enemy could have it weakened. We can weaken it to a point that we follow a false idea(image) as something requiring

The bible makes it clear that they practiced immorality, injustice, aggression, a worship of things made out of their hands and worse of all they sacrificed their children to a picture made out of wood. They were in other words entrenched in sin to a point that for them it is normal and moral. Objective morality does exsist.It is based on a culture we grew up in and if that culture considers sleeping with sibling moral like Hawaid a long time ago then how is it wrong?

@manchester26m Since you are coming from the bible I will try to answer ur question from the bible and standards attributed to God from the bible. This is to show that the contradictions supposedly to exsis in the bible about a good God killing others is not a contradiction but a paradox. beleive it or not?. When people talk about God commiting "crimes" they are talking about the things that happened when israel reached canan. what is known about the cananites is that they were a culture

If atheism is so bad, I wonder if the maker of the video has ever considered that he/she is also an atheist?

I presume since they are advancing a christian world view that they do not believe in zeus, apollo, vishnu, allah, or the dali lama. That makes them an atheist as well.

So, by their logic. being an atheist is bad, christians are atheists to other religions, ergo, christianity is bad.

If you can't believe my logic, how could you possibly believe his. Unless of course you are nuts.
