Ooo Baby by Bobby Hutton from Blue Rock Records. Bobby was born Harold Hutton and recorded for Chess under that name in 1965. This was the flip side of his only Blue Rock release, 'That's How Heartaches Are Made'. I love how this record begins with some incredible strings, then settles into one of those nice mid-tempo Chicago grooves. Bobby didn't record again for 3 years when he released "Come See Whats Left Of Me' on Mercury, then Phillips in 1969. That record is a Northern Soul classic as this one should be. A great Windy City sound.
