Stack of "Live Ballots" Turn Up in Racine

[Racine, Wisc...] As the senate recount wrapped up Monday, more irregularities at the polls surfaced. A stack of unmarked ballots turned up from the 36th ward that were pre-initialed. That is illegal. Christina Wallace, the chief election inspector from that ward, says they always do that. Wallace signed both the Walker and Wanggaard recall petitions.

It seems becoming an election official in Wisconsin is no big deal, but "it is what it is".

I think Van Wanggaard's decision will be mostly based on how many ballots can be considered questionable. The number will certainly need to be greater than the 800 votes he's behind by, because they probably all won't be ballots against him. I'd say if they think there are around 1100 ballots that are questionable per these findings then it certainly makes logical sense to take it to court to have the election for that senate seat require a full district re-vote even if it's not a popular move.
