Born from the ashes of the Guardian newspaper talkboards, NOTtheTalk aims to promote discussion of ideas at all levels. We can argue all day about the best way to poach an egg, and will stay up all night to help a poster in trouble. We have talked people off ledges, up career ladders and across oceans.

SoftlySpoken has disappeared and Thor is banned automatically although he keeps trying to get back in under different guises...when he's found out he gets ejected. Quo manages to steer just clear of committing bannable offences...but only just.
