  • Okojo-Iweala is my model. Nigeria and Africa at large will surely rise.

  • She's not advocating government control, she's advocating cooperation among ALL sectors. Government, investors, and philanthropists all sitting down together and saying: what is the best path, the best plan. And much more importantly than private vs public sector or your libertarian question of government protection of rights, much more important than all of that is: all of the decisions regarding investment and trade in Africa MUST be made by Africans.

  • She is amazing, but removing oil subsidy will have a negative impact on the fragile economy, our way of life will be threatened, they might have the right intentions but they should try other means of revenue collection (stop corruption for instance) and don’t add to the suffering to the poor Nigerians.

  • Africa is the richest continent in natural resources and yet most of her people are among the poorest in the world. How that came to be is an issue that most economist prefer not to elaborate on. Those that do either lied abut it or they simply won’t tell or don’t know the truth. peoplebreeze com

  • There is only a handful of economist who would tell us the truth about why Africans are poor, but they’re not famous. Anyhow, those who knows the details would rather avoid talking about the issue than to discuss it. Nogozi Okonjo-Lweala knows the truth and she is talking about it. peoplebreeze com

  • Good talk. Just unfortunate to use the examples of aid to Ireland and Spain now that these countries have huge problems repaying debts...

  • She's good....and am proud of her...a blessing to Nigeria.

  • Why do people alway have this need to compare two people (Ngozi and Adichie) who aren't even comparing thmselves. These two women are equally intelligent and smart and both have the same goal : to present a more positive picture of Nigeria and Africa. But they present it from different perspectives. So lets stop this childish game of comparism

  • Ms Iweala gave a moving speech about aid to africa///

  • This video should have 10 times more views.

  • She is the voice of reason!!!
