  • As a 16 year old (i am now 18) I was able to visit and explore the northern regions of Ethiopia. From region to region I noticed the same occurrence over and over again: the children were asking me for pencils, not money! Its disheartening for me to see in my own community, children who continuously complain about an education that is basically handed to them on a silver platter, when in developing countries such as Ethiopia the children are walking countless kilometers just to go to school.

  • @MissTrackStar93 I know... It's mind-blowing, isn't it? We'd love you to get involved in the movement and help us spread the word. Check out girleffect (dot) org. We have a ton of resources that could help you!

  • She is crying because there are no good choices available to her, even though she has the face of an angel. She could be anything: model, actress, singer. They rescued her from premature marriage, then what? The money has been spent on the military and the rest is stolen. She was born poor and she will die poor, because she was robbed before she was even born. What a waste.

  • @PurePressure999 Negroid features are sub-Saharan. Ethiopians are NOT sub-Saharan people's they are Saharan.

  • @hooraaye2 Great comment. (seriously) I live in Africa and see so many girls without hope for the future.

  • I really like this organization, it emphasizes the change in one can cause a reaction, making it a cycle that you would want to continue.
