i wish geddy still used his rickenbacker
-
@Crockettsonny84 yeah, cause he has to sing over it....
-
@Fenderjazz1987 He uses the rickenbacker on this song.

This is clearly NOT Geddy Lee. listen to the original rush - witchhunt

@nayjayjee and don't forget this track is ripped from the Rock Band game. Maybe it causes it.

@nayjayjee I don't think the pickupd can "record" other instruments like that. Many isolated tracks sound like that. Usually instruments are recorded alone, via overdubbing, maybe you hear a backing track Geddy were playing while recording?

I dunno, it kinda sounds like the Rick when he hits the higher notes near the end. Jazz basses usually aren't that "loud" on the higher notes.

Yea see a bass cant be complicated cause its the foundation of a song, thats the guitars job, only can be comlicated when isolated purposely in a track
Ive listened to This album and this song more than any normal person could bear. This is in fact Geddy Lee playing this song as well as all the other tracks shown on Youtube. In my opinion, everyone here doesnt think it's Geddy because it's too basic of a line and has a more rounded, distorted sound to it compared to the other tracks. I think we all just expect more from him and If you read his interviews you will note that he writes these parts in a specific way for a reason.

This really shows how talented Geddy is.. just think, when preforming this song live, hes playing this bass as well as singing and obviously playing the keyboard with his feet! FUCK
