Wow! Sounds great! I'm just reading "Back to Basics for Trumpeters: The Teaching of Vincent Cichowicz" after playing these for a few years. Awesome exercise and awesome book!

@tptdoofus Thank you! I work really hard on trying to achieve just what you said. A relaxed easy flow of air is the key.

Are you supposed to warm up above the 7th partial?

@lazyeddie04 Everyone has different oppinions as to the proper way to warm-up. I believe that you should do what works for you and not do it just because it works for another person. I have gone through many different warm-up routines over the years and these Flow Studies have always been one of my favorites. It slowly increases in range going up so it doesn't put too much strain on me too fast.

@lazyeddie04 I want to add also that I start my day by doing the Buzzing Basics which starts with mouthpiece buzzing long tones and gradually works down to Pedal C. Then I do it on my Trumpet working down to Pedal C. This gets me nice and 'warm'. Then I begin with the Flow Studies and do every other one working up slowly into the high register. By this point I'm "Warmed-Up" and it is more of a daily maintenance routine. I never go beyond what is comfortable to avoid too much pressure.
