I got mine to green light doing the exact same thing except we overheated it with the towel trick, got the solder lose except now the box tries to read game disks as DVD's!!! Any idea why this is happening?
Happened with two different boxes Ive tried this on.

shows no repairs and a forced overheat will sometimes con the xbox but it won't last and Microsoft won't fix it because you've broke the seals and for all those who brag about the ps3 it happens on that too and at least my card details are safe

@CaptainColie If you unplug the fans to do a powered reflow of the Xbox 360 and it works? you had a cracked solder ball below one of your chips GPU or CPU (YES) the problem now is you just made your original problem 60 times worse than what you had before you started!! I know because I am a rill component level repair man with years of military experience repairing all the flight navigation, stabilization and on board computers for all the helicopters.
