@afghi420 yea I dont understand that either and was very angry when I found out that they were using fords engine thus making them have a very bad reliability rating....now they have parthners with some good companies. Such as toyots's and nissan which i am very happy with because they are both very good car companies especially toyota.
@94navin well thats good, i couldn't understand why a company that had some fairly reliable vehicles would go and have anything to do with Ford, or any domestic for that matter. Maybe they will drop Ford philosophy of building pure shit to sell parts to building quality and have a loyal customer base..
@afghi420 yea try were really good some of them have fords engines but they dropping ford because ford is not doing so good so they sold their share from 33%-3% and soon they will be 100% Japanese again.
@afghi420 i wanted to buy one last year but when I went to buy one they told me i couldn't get a limited or fully loaded and if i wanted leather the third row would be cloth and I wanted it in white and I couldn't get none! so I went to a mazda dealer. I have a 1994 mazda mpv and it is 18 and still going strong so im going with the mazda cx9 but Im waiting for the skyactiv model and heard of a redesign.
@afghi420 yea but they are really good cars still. Im glad you settled for the 4 runner their great cars the only thing is that the bottom and other part (not the body) will rust like more than usual car do I know this because I am a mechanic.
@94navin in my area as people just don't seem to sell them, but i suppose if you had a vehicle that treated you great, was tough and capable and never broke down, why would you sell it? I have had amazing luck with my Honda's, i have owned 3 so far, a 98 accord coupe, a 03 civic and my 03 accord sedan i have now, and as far as parts i have only had to buy a rotor and wheel bearing so far out of 3 vehicles and years of ownership, besides that just oil changes/brake maintenance.
@94navin They seem to get good ratings most the time, seem to be almost tied with the CRV, although i think the CRV comes out on top slightly. Reliability is definitly number one for me. I know what you mean about the rav though, inside they are kind of boring and cheap (feeling). Actually im not a big fan on alot of Toyota's interiors, especially the recent Camry, but i can look past knowing they are amazingly reliably vehicles. i think i have settled on a 4 runner though, they are hard to find
@Dwealdric the computer are for real off road like high mountains or a lot of snow etc... other wise you just put on 4 wheel drive and drive like regular
@afghi420 dont go with the rav4 their good cars considering its a Toyota and it will last but it is built very cheap not one of Toyota's best cars...trust me i am not just a average person talking about cars i am a mechanic
