@MsBehaved666 she has loads of facial expressions. she's smiling when she's thinking of them together then it fades and her eyes show the pain and hurt that she can't have him. the playing with her hair shows insecurity and in parts she has a smile that seems forced because she knows there is nothing she can do. this song is perfect her subtleness in gestures fit perfectly, you don't want to be overly distraught coz elphaba isn't like that, but she feels hurt and shoshana finds the perfect blend

Shoshanas Elphaba was transitioned into Raw, Real, Bold, and In your Face.. Her Makeup was portrayed in that... Her elphaba was meant to be More Authentically Green...

She sings and acts so well. She seems sort of dreamy and wistful, which is how it should be. I DO have a problem with her makeup artist though. The green looks really unreal, and I think it's wearing off.

@BeanieV50 im just saying...if youre in a position where you know you cant have someone you love, you dont smile about it. she needs more facial expressions and body movements. yea she sings good, but thats about it.

@MsBehaved666 i'm just curious on how she's not acting the part. From what i have seen, he brings a new element to Elphaba that no one seems to show on stage. Her expressions, although seem to be happy at times, are spot on in my opinion. She wants Fiyero to love her, but she knows she can't have him b/c of how she perceives herself not being the "beautiful girl".

Sorry, just had to give Shoshana Bean some credit. :)
