Shiptars were destroying Serbian Ortodox Churches for centuries, ever since they accepted Islam from Turks. Islam mandates that all non-Islamic places of worship must either be turned to Mosques, or destroyed. That is the reason why Talibans destroyed Budda statue in Afganistan.
