Lifeflight Eagle, N505LE, loads and flies a patient from Osceola, Missouri, to be transferred to St. Lukes.

  • Hey it's me, that was just last weekend. FYI they were going to st lukes on the plaza. Life Flight will never transport to clinton. Unless the pt codes and they happen to be close.

  • So, were you the patient? Sorry for the errors. I figured since that helicopter is based in Clinton or one exactly like it, that's where they were going. My bad.

  • No I was the RN. Your correct it is based in clinton. Life Flight is affiliated with Saint Joseph Health Center, Saint Luke's Hospital and Children's Mercy Hospital. they station helicopters in rural areas to cut down on the "to scene" flight time. Even though they are only about 25 miles from osceola they still have a 20 min flight time. That includes warm up. When they were based in harrisonville it was 35 to 45 min. Those extra 15 to 25 min can mean a lot in a stroke, MI or trauma.
