This week In Context has a look at how the Russia-EU relationship has evolved since the end of Georgias war against South Ossetia. Why did Georgia go to the UN's highest court to sue Russia? Is this still another public relations ploy? You probably know some myths about Russia. Well, new ones are being created. We take a look at some of them then demolish them. And much more

  • Crap. Georgia attacked first and those people in South Ossetia and Abazkia didn't want to be part of Georgia and have been independent since 1991. This was supposed to be Georgia's quid pro quo for helping in Iraq. It is time for the US to get out of central Asia!

  • Maybe it's Russia's policy to discourage foreign riffraff, and to punish Russians for thinking that the grass was greener on the other side of the fence. It reminds me of the former situation in Albania where no one was allowed to leave their Heaven on Earth, in case they died of shock at how bad life was outside of Albania. Germany's nice :-)

  • I agree, getting into Russia is a nightmare, for someone who was BORN in Russian and has PASSPORTS, the embassy has to charge $200 just to CONFIRM this, when the evidence is right here, and this is just to FAX something, JUST TO FAX! WHAT THE HELL! BLOODY BUREAUCRATS!
