Beware of the evil maid!

She was sentenced to 5 months in jail in Dec 08. However, we could not get our money back. It is suspected that she stole more than S$10k, even though we only reported that its 6K, as we couldn't provide instant proof.

This evil Indonesian maid named Anik Susianti stole more than S$6,000 and was caught by us just a few days ago.

She proudly claimed that she didn't steal the money in our piggybanks and our stuff even in the police's presence, pushing the blame to my dead grandparents. THEY ARE DEAD AND YOU CLAIM THAT THEY TOOK THE MONEY? HOW BLIND IS THAT?

Of course, with so many loopholes in her story and after being detained by the police for a day, she finally admitted the crimes that she has committed. She will be sentenced to more than 3 months in jail.

I am not stereotyping all maids but do beware of yours! Some of them are ruthless in doing such things while the very minority isnt.

Employers don't deserve to be treated like this even though a minority may abuse maids. Laws should not be altered in such a way that employers become the victims of most cases nowadays!!

Please watch this video and may this serve as a deterrent factor for employment of maids and theft cases.

well...they come from far to earn a little more for the benefits of those they left behind, hoping that it will helps but with small wages and ONE MAID to look after SICK OLD FOLKS n SPOILT BRATS n DEMANDING EMPLOYERS who thinks they paid enuf. by the way, saw the blame on your grandparents and that is upsetting so my condolences to your family. My point is simply that I have seen the other side of the coin when i lived in singapore and i was shocked by the treatment some perfectly nice people dished out to their helpers. Inhuman and values that I do not understand.

@gitanoxeneise I've seen e other side where people treat their maids unreasonably too. Guess you're surrounded by too many saddists, so i can't blame u for being so pessimistic and bias. haha... anyway, there're always exceptions to the norm. Not all maids are evil, similarly, not all employers are as nice. We had tolerated with her attempts to sow discord between our family. Well, that's okay, all of these have past. We just like to remind pp to be cautious, when u let strangers into ur hse.

Thanks for posting this video and I feel so sorry for you. I do have a maid and I believe what you went thru and just be more careful don't leave valuables around. There are good employers and there are also good maids too. Sometimes getting a good maid is like depending on luck so I hope you have better luck next time, take care
