GSX vs 5.0 Mustang

Richmond Dragway season-opener. Record 1/4 mile pass. Still not using no-lift-to-shift. Also made a record 1/8 mile pass this day but broke out like crazy because my car keeps getting faster without making any changes. I don't know how, but that's what's up.

This was the engine that came with it stock. All factory turbo Eclipses have a 4g63. The non-turbos use the Chrysler 420A. I'm currently at work installing a fresh-built 6-bolt 4g63 in this car because I spun a couple of rod bearings in the 7-bolt at the end of last season, logging 421hp at the time. It didn't like it. It's gonna love the 6-bolt!

@pitbullmanzx It's a '95 convertible. It's also in the staging lanes next to my car prior to the race, and the 5.0 badge is illegible with this crappy old camera I used to shoot with... but I wouldn't kid you. The aspect ratio of everything I shot with this camera got messed up when I uploaded to YouTube so it makes it a little more difficult to tell.

I'm shooting in 1080HD now, and I will gladly recreate the race just as soon as I get the opportunity.

Habe nicht so auf das Video geschaut. Das Lied fand ich Cool. Fahre selber Eclipse D22A Bj. 1994 in Black. Neu aufgebaut. Für einen Mustang reicht die Kohle (Geld) nicht. Und die Unterhaltung in Germany auch zu teuer.Leider.

@Nmbg66 Wir sind schnell unterwegs, diesen Weg hierher, Bruder. Der Barackalypse. Ich könnte noch $ 20.000 in den DSM über 10 Jahren USD. Nur 2 der Colt von über 5 Jahren. Ich wünschte, ich könnte etwas mehr exotische leisten. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Ausführung der 4g63. Sehr preiswert als auch. Mustangs sind ein Dutzend für Kohle hier. Einige halte ich sehr schnell. I go for the zzzzzzzz effect.

@andymcdo lol! Barely... I took 3 years of it, but never got to use it since high school. (class of '90) I never got submersion practice in actually going to Deutschland, so it takes work, but I can do it. I hope I made sense as rusty as I am.

If I go, everyone there speaks English by the time they're done with our equivalent of middle school... so they'll understand my slang... and I probably sound like an old fart to all of them. At least I can conjugate once I know what the verb is.

if the model mustang staging in the lane next was the one you raced that was not a 95 they didn't come out with that body style until 99 and the standard was 4.6l v8 not a 5.0. You can easily tell too, the shape of the headlights are more rectangular than a 94-98 and the scoops on the side are much larger on 99-04 to a 94-98 also he could have easily put a 5.0 badge on his car. but all in all nice eclipse

That is one sexy black Eclipse! Very nice! I love my silver 96' Spyder. She has the standard 2.4 SOHC with a 5 speed. I can't drive her enough!
