Gerbil Caring For His Sick Brother :-(

Sadly my black gerbil (Tyler) had kidney problems, which the bacteria had spread to his blood stream causing pheumonia. In this video my blonde gerbil (Kyle a.k.a Fat Boy) is caring for him by making a nest from shredded paper and hay.

Kyle is doing a fantastic job in looking after his brother. He grooms him, sleeps on his to keep him warm, whenever he leaves the nest he scrapes the hay and paper on top of Tyler to keep him warm. He also keeps rebuilding the nest to make Tyler more comfortable.
Kyle is the most sweetest and layed back gerbil i have ever seen.

Sadly Tyler had to be put to sleep :'(

@monkeyguyman1 I laugh at the bit where blonde has got so much in his mouth, he has to wiggle his bum to get through the tube! Of course it's still sad to know his brother was dying :'(

aww, so sad though, really cute and heart warming. when my cat had kidney problems my dog would gaurd her and growl at ppl who came close, sadly we had to put her down. :[

i almost cryed seeing how the gerbil was willingly taking care of his sick brother. while im writing this there are acctual tears in my eyes. may they both rest in peace! <:-)

awh this makes me almost cry :( i love my gerbils so much and would be heartbroken if they died,i mean,i know they are only small animals but they mean HUGE amount of love. this is soo sweet of your gerbil.
