I have really cheap shortwave radio and I was looking forward to make this antenna. Unfortunately I cannot find the alligator clip nowhere in my city. Is there any other way to attach the wire to antenna that is simple. And can I use AM wire antenna from my Hi-Fi system?

You can use a paperclip. It won't be as good but it'll work. Radio Shack, hardware stores and auto parts stores usually all sell alligator clips.

@johnu78 There as such stores here but all in city outskirts and I don't have a car to reach them. Once I get to them or someone to get it from me I will get all that I need. But your video is really helpful and I will use it once I get those two things.
