How much the latency is? Could you play on this drum in real time ? thanks

This videoclip is old. I was using the ATMega based MegaDRUM-32 which would give you about 4 ms latency (trigger to the USB bus - e.g. very similar if you connect Roland TD-30 to a PC/MAC) Then you have the Drum-plug softwares + sound card...which would add 4-8 ms seconds more. It is working to play live.

I have recently changed my MegaDRUM-32 device to a new one based on a ARM processor (Faster, 1ms latency), If using 64bit drum-plugins & Windows 8 I get a total latency on 3-4ms (=feeling!)

Hi & Thanks. Hope not did'ntI scared you away...of course there is a lot work but it is a lot of fun as well!! I have spent some time shis weekend configuring a 3 Zone Roland cymbal in the MD...and the results is great!! Very nice!!

No no not at all! Haha I'm just swamped with school right now. I've been itching to play my drumset (can't live in an apartment) and I've gotta build this asap! and since I'm also pretty broke I'm thinking about going the homemade trigger route. Have you had any positive/negative experience with those?
