  • Of course, Electravox, you're fully entitled to your opinion, but the Welsh language is still very important to those who live in the majority of Wales. In fact, the only part where English is more widely spoken than Welsh is the South, which is where I presently live.

  • Oh, and in response to Applemask, I'm three miles away from Merthyr Tydfil, as it happens.

  • This is the first time I've actually heard Welsh spoken. It's fascinating. It's wonderful that they're promoting the language. It preserves diversity.

  • longbow1415 i find u so funny u hate the welsh so much but the thing is u have a welsh invention as ur name u turd

  • over 800 years ov english rule, enough is enough time for independence, bring back the free wales army, llewelyn the great the last true prince ov wales. CYMRU AM BYTH.

  • "belongs to us all in britian" no it doesnt.

all countries in britain have their "native language" exept england.

  • Good job promoting a language that speakers were for too long insulted.

Wrost things were done in France about the... what? 20 regional languages or more that were (and are still) spoken there?

Don't let the memory of humanity die.

Thank you for working on culture.

  • Hi, wyt ti'n siarad Cymraeg yn rhugl?

Hi, can you speak welsh fluently? Where did you learn welsh?

  • I'm English and love England. I have never lived in Wales, but I sepak Welsh, because I love the language, and I see it as part of our British heritage. In a very real sense, Welsh belongs to us all in Britain.

  • I see myself as British because where I live was once part of Scotland but is now part of England, borders change and so do the inhabitants; Mankind's breeding means that geneticly we are pretty much the same people but standing on different sides of a border. But for some reason the minority cannot get along with each other, shame. Good video though, the Welsh should be, and are proud to have a language they can call their own.
