Made in the winter of 1999, Belleau Wood was an exciting, yet challenging short film to make. It's inspired by Garth's Brooks song about the WWI battle.

  • Historical inaccuracy doesn't matter at all....

The message is what you got across....and I don't think it would matter if you had a hollywood budget with 100 percent accurate props and uniforms, you couldn't have delivered the message any better.

    Good video man!

  • Found this as I was searching for the song, very well done, brought tears to my eyes.

  • I love this video. Thank you for making it :)

  • Historical accuracy does matter. Only a fool would say otherwise.

  • WW1 or WW2 ?? Army or Marines ?? 1914 or 1918 ?? June or Christmas?? Let's not worry about facts or truth, just does it make you feel good... Sound like anybody ?? I guess its just Garth being Garth, or is that just Joe being Joe ?? Lets remember history for what it really is, not what we would like it to be...

  • Wow. I didn't think it was possible for me to love this song anymore. Thank you for making this so much more beautiful to me.

  • @GargoyleZoo3 you are not a SOLDIER. You are a MARINE recruit. Once you make it through training you will be a MARINE, not a SOLDIER. Good luck and Semper Fi.

  • @graycloud057 Sadly true. A memorial plaque (headstone) was recently authorized at Arlington cemetery. Europe has more impressive memorials to our Doughboys than we have here at home.

  • @graycloud057 CONTD: made it thru the Wheatfield to engage the Germans in B.Wood, but were so fierce the Germans reported they were being killed by thousands of madmen and retreated. As brother combat vets, we both know each war is a bloodbath. Big deal, right? We were asked to go, so we went. War certainly would have been shorter w/o us, but the outcome would have been completely opposite. BTW ~ THANK YOU for your service, and welcome home! (USMC, RVN 69-70-71).
