Weight is a good sign of reliability, if it doesn't work you can always hit him with it. lol As far as price go, you get what you pay for.

I don't understand some people. You saying the gun is going to take a hit because of weight. It is a gun! A reliable, accurate, well crafted gun. No offense to you but I have been hearing so much bs about the weight of a gun. If you are comparing it to a glock or something I guess it is ok.

@phillip123455 Hey, this is carelessplan85..I just changed my account name and I'm about to start making new reviews! Night sights are cool for sure! Just make sure you buy some good ones that'll keep their glow for a long time. I mentioned something about the frame cracking just buy reading a couple forums. Truth is, it won't happen. If it does it'll be past your lifetime. These handguns are top-notch in quality and you truly are getting what you pay for. I highly recommend it!!

Hi carelessplan85. I'm relatively new to owning a handgun. I just got approved in my state to buy a handgun and I am seriously considering a Sig Sauer P229.Are night sights really worth having on a gun such as this? I am a huge fan of Sig pistols an my father has used them in overseas deployments. I am a little worried about the frame cracking as you mentioned in video review. Does Sig Sauer's limited lifetime warranty cover this if it happens?
Thanks for your time an awesome first video.

Nice video. Make more.

@Sigfofosauer You can shoot 10,000 quite comfortably actually and your Sig will still be ready to go w/o losing any accuracy. The more you shoot, the better it is for the gun. Its frame is literally designed for it.

Good vid, but you need better lighting. Its not a slam or anything but for your first vid was pretty damn good.. Nice gun by the way. keep it up..
Im currently carrying a Kimber pro and/or Ultra as my everyday.. thinking of changing over to SIG 229, but love to hear your opinion.

I'm not a fan of 1911's. I took a long time to choose when buying the gun and decided this is the one, fits my hand perfect, great recoil. It's just amazing, and the extra weight isnt bad, feels like your holding a gun, not a toy.

Hey..nice review. What do you think of the 9mm P229?

It's a nice handgun. I'd go for a .40 just for the fact of more stopping power, but really that doesnt even matter. You can kill someone with a .22 if you place the shots right! So to answer your question the P229 in 9mm is a good choice!

I have a P229 .40 which is my first handgun. The weight was a little concern but I'm not planning on using it for concealed carry. But, it shoots nice and feels comfortable.
My only suggestion on the video is to zoom out a bit so that you can show the audience what you're working on while your describing it. Also, you were getting some backlighting which is not that great for this type of situation and makes you and weapon a little too dark. I'm still working up the nerve to post something.

Yeah, well I have never made a video before this and I was using my macbook pro. So the only camera is the one built into the screen so I couldnt move it to much. I'm sorry about that man...as for the back lighting I did at night...maybe I'll re-do a video and make it a 2 part now since I have some more information...
