@mrsoundwave It might be dumb, but it was done like that mostly due to advertising, If you heard a live version and you purchased the record, it would be different so that would be considered false advertisment. Also the amount of time it would take to sound check each band would have taken forever. also some bands where shit live (I can say ultravox where great live) At least bands back then werent full of antares autotune, most artists now cant even play never mind sing live.
