Nice flying. I'm building one of those now but I am going to put a motor on it to get longer flights.

It hasn't flown much, basically because its hard to get it up high. Not much hills here in the Netherlands ;-) We might put an electric motor on it once. Thanks for your comment, and good luck building and flying!

@Ahoudijk Have you tried a "High start"? It's basicly a long piece of sugical tubing (like you'd use for a sling shot) staked down in the ground on the one end and a loop on the other to hook on to the belly of the glider. You'd have to put some type of hook on the bottom to loop the cord over. Than with the cord attatched just walk back untill there is enough tension and let it go with some up elivator. Just look up glider high starts you'll see.

@gwsslowstick : we have tried it, but only with our Dizzy Bird. See other movie. We did try to launch with a line but it crashed and got a bit damaged. It has been repaired but has not flown yet. You motivated me to give it another try with the Spirit.

Well I checked out your Dizzy Bird video with the high start. That was cool. Now just do that with the Spirit. My Spirit that I have I got from my nighbor and he got it off of "Craig's List" on a trade. It was missing the build plans and the canopy (or the cockpit parts).

I had to order the plans and I am fabricating the canopy and cockpit my self right now. I am ready to cover now but I have got to get an iron (my last one died) and the Monokote.

@Ahoudijk Cool man I'll check out the other video. Be sure to get video of the Spirit using the high start.

I have just finished the wings (I'm did them in the 2 piece style for easier transport no Monokote yet). Working on the fuse now as I write this (waiting for glue to dry). I think I will be up late tonight working on it just because I'm impatient when it comes to stuff like this. It’s 12 am now so I may be up till 3am to get as far as I can. I do not have the Monokote yet but soon.
