Lyrics
Anni Slayd's got the spring time blues real bad
Can't help but reminisce about the great years we had
I remember photo day '83 summer
Yeah, still have the pic of me, my Pops and my brother
I remember All Star game five men strong
Fifty-nine thousand fans looking on
I remember tears at the Kid's last game
Stood right behind him as the anthem played
Now my homemade sign's got his autographed name
On the newspaper cover, first brush with fame.
I remember singing Val-der-ree, Val-der-rah
'03 Wild Card race, last hurrah
I remember Vlad 40-40 and the call they got wrong
The game against the Braves Cliff Floyd going long
Still missin' Montreal ball six years on
Yeah sometimes you don't know what you got till it's gone

This one's for the Kid and the Cat and the Hawk
And this one's for Grip, Larry Walk and the Rock
This one's for El Presidente, Mo and O-Cab
and this one's for Spaceman, Cro and Vlad
Most of all this one for us, the fans who stuck
With the 'Spos when the times were tough singing
Those were the days
I'm a Expo for life no matter what they say
And the memories will never fade
Nos Amours in my heart

I remember Rondell White and Lou Frazier
Oty Nixon, F.P., Eli and Laser
I remember the magic, El Perfecto
Twenty-seven men up then down like presto
I remember sun coming down on the field no roof
I remember doing a jig on the dugout with Youps
I remember just how close we came
Eighty-one, then the strike year still feel the pain
I never forget that last night at the O
Had both arms wrapped round my Dad and my bro
It looked just like that pic we took years ago
The only thing different were tears that flowed
Yeah, most of y'all must think I love the Habs more
But if it were up to me it'd feel like ninety-four
I remember the last time I checked a boxscore
And that last sad send off from Dave Van Horne

This one's for the Kid and the Cat and the Hawk
And this one's for Grip, Larry Walk and the Rock
This one's for El Presidente, Mo and O-Cab
and this one's for Spaceman, Crow and Vlad
Most of all this one for us, the fans who stuck
With the 'Spos when the times were tough singing
Those were the days
And the memories will never fade
Nos Amours in my heart
This one's for the Kid and the Cat and the Hawk
And this one's for Grip, Larry Walk and the Rock
This one's for El Presidente, Mo and O-Cab
and this one's for Spaceman, Crow and Vlad
Sometimes it's the little things that bring us together
That's why I'm an Expo forever always remember
Up, Up and away
And the memories will never fade
Nos Amours in my heart

I'm a Phillies fan, and I hate the Nationals more than any other team because they aren't and should be the Expos. Strasburg and Harper should be Expos, not Nationals. 94 was their year, and then the strike not only killed their Wold Series chances, but killed the franchise and the team in Montreal. Just imagine if they played 94 out instead of the damn strike. I'm sure they would have seen more support, had this team been cared for.

I am a Padres fan in SD. I used to love seeing the Expos play. They soon became my second favorite team. I even have an Expos batting helmet. It made me sad that they moved to washington. Its a shame the Nationals are so much different and they don't even acknowledge they came from montreal. They will always be the Expos to me.

One time when the Nationals came to town i wore Expos gear to the game and i was on TV for it. LOL!

I'm a Cards fan, but I truly hope Montreal gets a baseball team soon, even if it's just minor league. It's a great city with a rich athletic history, hopefully there's another expansion or a team like the Rays will relocate there.

It's nice to see that people in America think that we should still have our team.

There's a group in Montreal that is trying to change all that. It's still a long shot, and I'm a Dodger & an Angel fan. I still bleed Dodger blue & I always go Halo red, but Montreal was and still is my 3rd or 4th fav. team. I was heartbroken when that happened, but in Montreal, there is hope. It happened w/ Milwaukee, Seattle, & Kansas City. It's going to happen again. You can bet ur bottom dollar that Montreal will be back in the MLB, and nearly 5 mil who livs there will answer that! :D

In 1993, the year the Habs won the cup, the expos were 94-68. That's a damn good record considering there was yet no wild card. However, their attandance was 1,641,437 (13th of 14th in the NL).

A big problem for the Expos coming back would be the Habs. It's their town. If the Habs are winning and go deep into the playoffs, very few will pay attention or go to Expos' games for the first part of the season.

If the Expos were to come back and play like a last place team, the stadium will be empty. Baseball is not Canada's national sport so anything less than the playoffs or world series for the Expos would be devastating.

Sadly, MLB knows this very well. Slayd knows this.

Shouldve never left. What Selig and Loria did was low. They were always my favorite NL team.

Do they really miss them in Montreal and Quebec or they don't care?
