Hey Everyone.

I have an Alienware, Area 51, D900T, M7700.

*Everyone runs away*

Please come back and help haha.

After repairing this laptop once already. i decided to format it a while ago, and tried skipping updates and just install The service packs or something! when suddenly BAM!

It died on me, now when i try to install from the Alienware windows xp cd i think it hangs on the same screen forever! "Creating Folder \WINDOWS..." it doesn't seem to want to create this.

See the Video:

Also i have an external Floppy Drive which could help, I've tried a NTSF Boot floppy in it but not sure what commands to use?

Any Help Would be Much Appreciated!

Thanks SuperTed xxxx

  • It's the hard drive that's failing. Replace it with a new SATA 2.5 Inch Notebook HDD.

    I am a computer technician.

  • please help my gives me a stop:0x0000007e error

  • You might also try using the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows with those RAID Drivers as well and do a few scandisks on the hard drive(s), or try Western Digital's DLG tools (or Seagate's Seatools). If all else fails, you'll need to replace the hard drive(s).

  • You need to slipstream your textmode RAID drivers into your Windows XP CD using nlite. I have had issues with it and no RAID drivers.

  • yo, for one wait long enough for to check your hard drive if it doesnt want to right it means it cant right. same thing happened to me
