にょろ。とぐろ解除!
Japanese rat snake (Elaphe climacophora). After happy sunbathing awhile, it started uncoiling to slither away into the crack of stone steps. They are common and nonvenomous. Because they hunt infesting rodents, they've been traditionally regarded as guardians of the house in Japan. Recorded on Mid-May, 2006.

  • Aodaisho! Friendly snakes, real laid back.

  • Amazing footage!

  • thnks...glad you filmed it and let it be

  • To me the e. climacophora is the second most beautiful snake in the world - the only more beautiful is a bastard breeding that happened by chance in a german zoo between it and e. schrencki. The bastards mated and made a family, amazing for hybrides. Their offsprings have... well, how to describe it: egyptian eyes, that top their grand parent's beauty. It's worthy to look at. Check out for it at the Exotarium Oberhof.
