I hope the people of Glastonbury still have a sense of humour... ;-)

Come to Glastonbury, Voted the impractical town in the UK, if you want weed or cannabis based paraphernalia, or pointless crystal Buddhas youre in luck, but if you want proper shops, youd go somewhere else
During your visit, why not stay at the world famous Backpackers and enjoy the violent but friendly abuse from the local rednecks
Glastonbury: Reportedly the most spiritual place in the UK, visit the Tour, famous because some numpty got hung there
Do you like streets full of jobless hippies; you should consider this wonderful Somerset town
Why not visit the Abbey; the heart of British Christianity, and like Christianity, in ruins!
Whist visiting Glastonbury you could take advantage of one of the many courses provided by Cathy Jones, fork out upwards of 20 grand, but itll well worth it when you are a certified Druid, Priestess of Avalon, or just a self-righteous Jesus wannabe
Do you like open-air lunatic asylums, well Glastonbury has it all
Glastonbury; probably the highest per capita of ME and drug-induced schizophrenics anywhere in the world
Home of the jobless, spiritually deviant and cider-wielding hippies, but most of all, home of the homeless
Glastonbury, too weird to consider settling down, but visit the place anyway youll be glad to go back home

  • @hproud Thank you very much :)

  • This is not funny, you should take it off and maybe put up something more positive in it's place.

  • Hi I live here, people don't like this cos underneath the humour you have hit the nail on the head. We have a street full of shops flogging mass produced 'Paganalia to the touristst at huge prices. Take a walk up the high street and there they are in their droves wondering up and down looking gormless in their quest for over priced rubbish. If come here thinking you can buy this rubbish and become a 'goddess or a shaman or a druid then as they say a fool and thier money are soon parted.

  • "If you want proper shops you'd better go somewhere else" And hope Tesco hasn't got there first and put them all out of business! I've lived other places and Glasto beats most of them hands down.

  • Tbh, you sound like a hippy.... and glastonbury is one of the best places i have ever been to...

  • @braaad69 What would Nicholas Cage know about magic? He single-handedly ruined a cult Pagan film, therefore I'm not sure his opinion can be taken seriously.

  • bloody brilliant

  • bloody brillliant

  • Having lived in these parts a little over 1000 years ago, I see it has taken all the magic we created and thrown it into a cauldron and got some pretty weird results.....Ah! students of the game, more study good people, less weed and the original magic can return. In the name of impartiality there are a handful of good magicians still alive and well, though most left for Cornwall and one I believe moved to Slough.... life IS weird, is it not?

  • And this is why I moved out of Glastonbury!

  • quite a lot of truth in this - sadly
