In 1991, I was aboard the USS Barbie and we went to Oahu during the memorial ceremony. Not a word was spoken and it really should be that way today. No words can describe the hell that was visited upon the not just the men, but the parents, wives and chilldren who knew their loved ones were never coming home. On this day, I salute all those who have taken the oath and continue to today. One day the final trumpet will sound and this will be all over. Until then, please never forget the sacrifice.

oh and i just wanted to say i stood on the U.S.S North Carolina based in charleston it was a honor to stand there i know why all other countrys hate us we have something to be proud of aint many others can say they have something to be proud of im only 13 but ever since i was 4 all i have ever wanted was to be a soldier i will be one someday i will make my own foot steps and maybe my son will follow in mine just like im going to follow in my dad and grandpas
