Hamas stockpiling weapons in Gaza

Hamas has required improvised rockets,explosive devices anti-tank missiles and anti-aircraft missiles in recent months an Israeli security official said.

Much of the weapons acquired by the terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip have been coordinated by Iran, the official said. However the recent unrest in the Arab world such as in Libya and Egypt has provided new alternatives, the official said.

In the past Iran concentrated efforts on two smugglingroutes, from the Persian Gulf to Sudan and from there in convoys to Egypt and the Gaza Strip and via air from Tehran to Damascus via Turkey, and then to the Syrian port of Latakia, to Alexandriaand on to Gaza.

Iran and Hamas are concentrating large stores of weapons in the Gaza Strip and plan to transfer them to the West Bank when the opportunity arises the official said.

Hamas are the democratically elected government and the Qassam brigades are the legitimate armed forces of that government

so who the hell are we, in the western world to say they're not allowed to have weapons?

They're fighting for their own land, the UK government sends our army to murder people in Afghanistan but i don't hear anyone saying we can't hold weapons :P
