This is my first try with Reason 4. This video shows Reason running. I did this track by recording automations in the mixer.
Give me your comments. Thanks!

  • 1 - Not trance

    2 - beats from drun'n'bass section

3 - plz create own samples not from reason4 sounds bank.. sorry but try more..

  • Reason is really great. You just know what you're doing. You can do every sound you found out in songs. FL is just for 14 years old kids that think they are good in making music, it's most likely as E-Jay. Good luck to get a job when you say that you're working with FL

  • lol this really sucks, no offense..but thats how you get better at it...keep trying!

  • trance???

    no.

  • Your rhythm programming could definitely use some work. The oscillated stuff at 1:30 is not to my liking and coincidentally, something I first started with when I started using FL, Reason, etc. ~10 years ago.

For a first song though, it's impressive to hear solid trance fundamentals right away.

  • Trance? This is more like old Techno:)

  • Way too compressed it seems man, and like digitalapparition said, don't use presets. Reason is feature and plug in rich, use it to it's fullest, but nice try nonetheless.

  • thats not trance

  • I think that with a firmer grasp on mastering that you could make some really good music, also I wouldn't use so many presets. A really good skill to learn also is sidechaining, especially for house and trance. All in all this a good first try, keep up the good work.

  • who cedar completly just summed it up right there

i was a 14 year old kid using fl studio thinking i new what the hell i was doing

but then i tried reason and i couldnt figure out how to do annnything

try reason its alot harder and alot better quality and really has an infinite amount of possibilites

now that i figured it out my music sounds so much better
