Paul Devens: Pavilion

This installation, situated in the Intro-InSitu-foundation (Maastricht) consists of a 6-channel soundcomposition, two walls, each in the shape of half a cilinder and some electric motors to keep one moving against the direction of the other. Sound from one or more speakers sometimes enteres the center of the installation directly, sometimes it blends in the room-acoustics when one of the walls is moving in between a speaker and the centre -where the audience is. thus, the pre-recorded electro-acoustic composition can only be complete in conjunction with the behaviour of those walls. october 2007, Hikikomori, Soundsouvenirs at Stichting Intro / In Situ, Maastricht.
