Wow -- you really are the worst kind of human being.
Stay away from me and mine. We own guns.

America was NEVER a DEMOCRACY NOR WAS IT EVER a DEMOCRATIC Republic; we are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. Democracy is TERRIBLE and I am EMBARASSED that you people actually think letting EVERY IDIOT VOTE ON EVERYTHING is a good idea RATHER than letting those that are EDUCATED on POLITICS make the decisions. MORE STUPID PEOPLE EXIST THAN SMART PEOPLE therefore Democracy is absolutely ABHORRENT.

YOU CAN STILL HAVE A DEMOCRACY WITH EVERYONE INVOLVED...
For instance in electing a President... People will run for it, and in each state lets say you have about 50,000 people on who should decide to run, the first 100 witht he highest votes, would be selected for another round off of votes... and that's how you do it. You keep rounding off the numbers through the populous votes
Of course, we will need a screen those people before accepting them... that would mean being a MERITOCRACY

Think about it like this. Believe it or not the US competes with other nations in the Global economy. What makes the US so powerful?; its wealth. With national security in mind, the US prioritizes big business interests for our sake. Look at when the US businesses where under attack by Japanese businesses. What would have happened to the bottom 40% who owns less than 1% of the wealth..no jobs..without US protectionist policies

America is not a Democracy. American Claim It Democracy Country But It Has Only Two Political Party. That Not Democracy At All.Why Don't It Three Or Five Political Party That Democracy.

|--> indirect(electoral college choose the candidate)
Democracy->representative| forms |--> direct (people choose the candidate)

Plus the founding fathers didnt create aa government of true democracy because the public is to easily swayed and mob rule would take over. There is still democracy in some smaller examples like the new england town meeting, but it could never happen in America. And how exactly do we chose to change it to a democracy, a bloody revolution?

America was never a democracy, its a democratic republic. We elect those to give a vote for us. The united states could never be a true democracy, it is just way to unrealistic for the entire population of the united states to have a say. How would we get the vote of everyone on evey issue? Its obvious to everyone we dont live in a democracy, obviously less obvious that we ever should...
Hey, just curiosity, isn´t this hat the one they use in the Bolivian Andes?

Not intentionally, but now that you mention it, it does seem similar!

I like you man, but you used a bad example. Lib here. But youre example ignored the fact that the people have choosen to be a capitalist state and the consequences associated with it.
But you are right.. not quite a democracy

When did people make that choice? I don't think anyone alive now got to vote on whether we want to have our society and economy organized in such a way that results in such an unequal distribution of society's wealth.
Thanks for the comment.
