This haunting ballad was the B-side of the second single from "This Is Serious," Martin's sophomore album. It's actually better than the A-side, "Love Takes No Prisoners." This song is a grower--it took probably half a dozen listens before I really "got" the song. Give it a chance, and you may get hooked too. :)

Was that a pun? A "sea of new wave"? LOL. Too bad she didn't grow her hair a little longer so that she could've competed with the hair bands. ;)

    Yeah, she was definitely underrated.

  • This woman was amazing. I had both the debut and sophomore albums and never understood why she was so underrated. She got lost in a sea of new wave and hair bands. I still love ya, Marilyn.

It's always nice to have a song that can reach you in a particular situation. Glad this one does.

  • She has a unique voice and I loved her the first time I remember hearing her in White Nights" This song reached into the depts of where I am right now.
