  • i took amtrak in the late 70s to florida from trenton, i was 9 years old and remember being on a train called the champion, is this correct or am i making things up in my head?

  • @jimmygt4 There was a train by that name. See Wikipedia.

  • Screw Philly. I'm from St. Louis. Our baseball team is beating the crap our of yours, and our downtown is prettier when coming over the Mississippi. Advantage: St. Louis.

  • @DCussen I'm from Boston and I don't care.

  • What kind of engine was pulling you at this point?

  • I do not remember that far back, but I'm sure that it was electric because we were going into the tunnel to Manhattan and Pennsylvania Station just up the way.

  • It was 20 years ago and I don't really remember, but seeing as we were hitting Philadelphia in the morning and headed north, I would guess that this was the Silver Meteor.

  • Is this Star or Meteor?

  • Very nice. I love to see historic train videos.
