Playing around with my 25 years old Hohner guitar straight into the Fender amp.

pickups: SD Jeff Beck at the bridge & stock pickup at the neck

amp: british style model with some delay

  • You have to look carefully for the model name: Far as I know, the ST Special S has a solid maple Body, but the ST Special a laminated.

  • I think it's 3-piece solid maple - it's heavy...

  • so its not thin?

  • If you compare it to a Duesenberg 49er than it is thin, but if you compare it to some of the Blade or Ibanez guitars it isn't ;) It's a good compromise - not too thin, not too thick.

  • It's a kind of modern c-shape, very similar to a mexican Fender Standard Strat.
