This can be very serious. A long time ago, i had a kitten. when he was 6 months old, he had an attack just like this, and i watched helplessly as he died right in front of me on the floor. I panicked and tried to put my nebulizer near his face and it didnt help at all. he was dead in less than ten minutes, i was young and didnt know what to do. i had only seen him do this like one other time, and he died right in front of me.

Argh, my cat has been doing this off and on for a few months now and its really starting to get to me. Money is super tight right now but watching him go through an attack like this is heartbreaking....

I think Kitty needs an inhaler! Poor thing! I've got asthma myself though I can't imagine having an attack and a possible hairball at the same time!

I have 3 cats and they haven't showed any kind of reaction to Fabreze and the one that coughs, only coughs during Jan-Feb (seasonal cough). I will though, and hope others will too, take your information seriously! Thanks! :)
30 pills for $30, is what I meant.

that stinks, I know it's hard to set priorities. If it helps, my cat's treatment was very reasonable, about $30 for a steroid pill which was cut in half so it lasted 2 months. She maybe could've been on something stronger, but it really did cut down on the attacks.

It's possible. But I think it was more or less old age, she was 18 when she passed and she started wasting away and went very quickly. I miss her tons still.

I think my cat was like this for awhile too, I thought it was hairballs for a long time, but then she was asleep and started making noises as she exhaled, even after she woke up, so that's how I found out. Her case was actually fairly mild as my mom's cat has asthma and her coughing fits look a lot worse. Check out the other vids, they can show you. Anyway, the guilt gets to me since my cat's dead now, but it's rather useless to feel it as long as you do something about it now.

Yes, take the cat to the vet. All pet owners have the responsibility of making an animal as comfortable as possible, as much as their finances permit. And if not able, then to make sure the pet gets to a home that can
