Brian Fletcher the jockey who won two Grand Nationals on Red Rum should get some credit.

Rummy had "Heart" to win so many long distance races - well living until 30 showed he had a great phsyical heart too.
- Arkle had "Class" to win three Cheltenham Gold Cups

The epitome of an Aintree horse. Jumped 150 fences and never fell, carried top weight in 1974, as clever as a cat with his jumping with the heart of a lion. I think we will never see his like again at Liverpool. It's unfair and erroneous to compare the park horses like Kauto Star who is not a handicapper with Rummy. They are all great in different ways, but Red Rum was and always will be the King of Aintree. A very special horse!
