3:02 Ryan asks:"You know what I did first this this morning when I woke up?"She shoulda said: "Looked in the mirror and threw kisses to yourself"
YUCK....can't stand that man! He's so vain...he always thinks the song is about him

I love seeing Mia so young. She was always a star.

I was 15 when this premiered on the telly. Although it didn't really interest me, I would occasionally view it with my mom. It was considered very controversial, for that period in time.....although, by today's standards, this is a Girl Scout party! It was nothing, compared to the graphic, in your face subject matter and dialogue, that passes as programming, these days. I always watched the beginning of the show, because I loved the beautiful and haunting theme song.

to note
god, Ed Nelson, he appeared in many tv appearances and several 50s b sci fi movies. His appearances spanned from a ill-fated pilot in "airport 1975" to a kidnapped mayor in third "police academy". also seen in the other heston-smight "midway" and a bit in "elmer gantry". busy supporting stars.
who else knows this?

@granddad2002 You mean the '60s. Yep, pretty much. Peyton Place was a hit.

One of the best tv shows of the time, I never missed one of them. Mia was my favourite in it. Happy to say I now own the whole set of DVDs . The 60s was the best for everything so happy i lived through that time, i wished i could have it all back again.

And this was 'Sex and The City' and 'Desperate Housewives' of the 1950s?
At this point in the story, Betty is about to learn that she is pregnant with Rodney's (Ryan O' Neal) baby. They had been dating, but Rodney had broken up with her when he learned that his father and Betty's mother were having an affair. Betty convinces Rodney to drive out to the lake where they first made love and tells him she's pregnant. Rodney is upset by the news and on the drive back they have a car accident. Betty loses the baby, but doesn't tell Rodney and tricks him into marrying her.
