  • Dude you totally left Levon Helm out of your description

  • A beautiful ending to a beautiful documentary. I was too young to fully appreciate it when it first came out. Now I realize that we may never see such a gathering of talent like that ever again.

  • AT 1:17 I like when you see their shadows. Martin Scorcese at his best.

  • THANK U FOR UPLOADING. I REALLY APPRECIATE.

  • great song

    what about correcting the title....walt..z

  • the theme to the last waltz is my ring tone

  • If it wasn't for my Dad, I wouldn't know this great music...when I was little he used to always play this documentary....and this was my favorite song since I was a little girl! Such good nostalgic warm fuzzy feelings come from hearing this!

  • @ShavaShav

I bet robbie did write the description !!!

  • beautiful tune, but it always leaves me feeling sad

  • I utterly LOVE the opening of this track with the mighty organ chord resolving into the piercing beauty of the theme on Robbie's guitar with Garth's synth underneath and then the further development, mandolin break and final exquisite resolution into Greensleeves. Pure genius. My girlfriend introduced me to The Theme from The Last Waltz on a mix tape she made for me when we first met. Worked quite well as we've been married for 22 years in December!

  • Makes me think of the last game the NBA on CBS ever aired (Game 5 of the 1990 NBA Finals in Portland). They played this awesome song as a montage.
