Opening titles from the 1976-77 season. These were very similar to the season 5 titles, but with a couple of sloppy edits fixed. For this final season, the funky drum break from the "Today on The Electric Company..." teaser was replaced by a new piece of electronic music.

I actually like all the versions of the opening credits, but I like the seasons 5-6 version the most. It's intensely joyful and exciting from start to finish. I wonder why they closed up shop. $ issues? Creative burnout? It seems like TEC is something that have could just kept going through the present, with cast and writer changes over time, like Sesame St. I resent PBS stealing "The Electric Co." as the title for a new show that is so radically different. It feels cheap and disrespectful.
Please! Luis Avalos is the reason why as a grown up gay man that I have such a passion for moustached latin men. Boy did I have a crush on him when i was young! :)
