Why can't the stupid Japanese judges see that this girl has very ugly teeth and an ugly nose? What's wrong with their vision? I don't want to hear any excuses like Maria has a good personality. Who cares? She's ugly by western standards. Why can Japanese people in the West only see this? She has no business in a beauty pageant of any kind. I'm so damn angry about this, because this really is an embarrassment to Japanese people. People will think that all Japanese women are ugly like her.

If this is how the Japanese are going to run Miss Japan Universe, I would like to see the pageant go out of business. It's a huge embarrassment to Japanese people. I don't want to see a representative from Japan in Miss Universe ever again. If you can't find a girl with the right figure and beautiful face, then use only Eurasian girls like Malaysia & the Phillipines do. Hibiki, the Okinawan girl, should've have won Miss Japan. She was the best. Instead the stupid judges chose the ugliest girl.

@camellane33 YOU are soooo WRONG, the minute i watched her interview in english, i fell in love for her :) so funny and fresh, joyful, great body, loved her english, even though she's not fluent... very much alike Miss Russia, all the others just went bla,bla,bla.. boring. So what if her teeth are not computer designed perfect, who cares.. Miss ANGOLA deserved Wining, but second should come Miss JAPAN even with Miss RUSSIA.

If we took a poll of Westerners, the Japanese would be convinced that Hibiki Nozu of Okinawa should have won Miss Japan, and Sundao Ohmori should've been 1st runner up. Maria Kamiyama doesn't belong in any beauty pageant, much less the top 5 of Miss Japan. I won't even watch the Miss Universe Pageant again this year, since Japan has no chance whatsoever. The Miss Japan pageant is a joke since the Japanese took control of the pageant. Ines Ligron or another Westerer needs to take control.
