This is beautiful archer's all over the world.

what a sad thought, if the female olympic archer wins gold she goes home to a country that wont even let her participate in their tradition because she's a woman. even beyond that, she's not even allowed to touch a bow at all.
-
And I'm just about preparing to revere them for just how simple their bows are made, provided the one I'm making right now is about as closely-matched as their version overall, specially their durability.
I haven't made a single bow before, so I'm extremely nervous.

That's okay. He can't get some English words right either, mispronouncing "compatriots." I'm just kidding.
-
Hm. Maybe they should consider revering something else, it doesn't look like this is working for them.

Im still lauging over the pronounciation of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. (the guy who brought archery to Bhutan). So if anyones wondering heres how you say it:
Zhab-drung Na-wang Nam-gyal.
No "oong" sound after "drung" and Nga sounds close enough to Na that if you cant say it just go with "Na" and noone will notice.
Go Bhutan! My archery gear is sacred to me as well, I identify with these people! Jedi Archers abound!

I dont think Zhabdrung brought archery to Bhutan.
Archery always existed in Bhutan.
