Do NOT take it as an insult you MUST understand that the whole light skin dark skinned foolishness is an overstay from when other ppl would try and tell us we were nothing. YOU ARE a LOVELY BLACK WOMAN with pretty and radient skin! YOU do NOT need any foundation ....just a simple skin care routine where you exfoliate your skin and a good day cream and night cream...THATS IT!! if you want to take off a little sheen a good blot powder will do the trick M.A.C has a good one.

Hi Doll -
Be careful of that brainwashing. I share your complexion and have shared your struggle as well. I use MAC nw45/47 depending on the time of year. I love it as it enhances my undertone and naturally beautiful skin. Don't skimp on your makeup..You are a cutey-pie - own it!

A MSF natural, they have a wide variety of shades especially for us women of color. Thanks for the tips on clothes I'm plus sized as well.

I like your video. You are a beautiful woman and the color of your skin is irrelevant. Also you don't need foundation. I love Mac, nars, makeup forever, and Lancôme just to name a few. I don't wear foundation I use Mac mineralize skin finish natural and concealer. A very light amount. Because I work really hard to keep my skin clear so I don't like a lot on it. I love eyeshadow and lipglass. I would say if you'd like to try it. Go to mac and ask a MA to find your shade in a light concealer and

I have found that the darker your skin..the less likely you will have to wear foundation..I only were...eye shadow..eye liner..and maybe lip stick sometimes..but mostly lip gloss..I enjoy pulling my hair back and showing my skin..my boss calls me big black..cause am so dark..at night you can't see me and I like that. but the best thing is how color pops against our skin...

Im a lil darker than you but I use covergirl the Queen Collection the color is true ebony. I love it more than fashion fair and its a lot less expensive. But you can always go to a department store and someone will help you match your right shade of foundation. Hope this helps a little! :)

im dark skin too. and i said the exact same thing as you. sometimes it seems like they dont make make up for dark skined people. so i have a little bit of trouble finding the right tone for foundation. i use Covergirl Queen collection. it only looiks good on me during the day. but at night i look like im dead because its too light on my skin. my mom said that i would like Mary Kay. i havnt tried it yet but ill let you know how it works. because me and you are about the same skin tone. :)

I am darkskin and I had trouble finding some foundation for myself. When i was shopping at the drugstore I found that the Maybelline Makeup in Cocoa works pefect for darkskin. If u wanted something a little higher grade, you can go to Mac or The Lancome Counter. Both of them have a great selection of foundations for Dark Skin. At Mac I am a NW50 in the summer and a NW47 in the winter. At Lancome I am (yet again =]) a Cocoa and their concealer is flawless! Love yourself Dark skin is in style hun!

Girl let me tell you. Im dark skin. You dont have to go with expensive if you never bought foundation before. Maybillene foundation in the tube its light blue the color is Coco for dark skin works wonderfully. The package now may look different it is now is a clear plastic bottle(looks like those little fabric paint squeez bottles) Its the Pure Makeup collection, but anyway it work good.
