Anderson beat Leites though. Anderson saw that Leites was a guy who likes to fight on bottom so he stood away from that and waited for him to get up and smacked him down every time. Leites is sick fighter though.

well, you're right about mma being pretty different from pure grappling , i still think maia has all the advantadge over leites though, better takedowns, better submissions and his stand up has been improving a lot lately as his trainning with wanderlei silva.

well maia has not fought another bjj black belt in the UFC yet! Remember mma is different to pure grappling...Also Jacare would be a huge test to maia also in MMA! maia has better takedowns than leites for sure
